This section of the AMEWS Online Newsletter will be devoted to information from and about AMEWS members. Please send us news about significant events in your professional lives such as positions obtained, grants awarded, books and/or articles published, papers presented at conferences and other items you’d like to share. We would also like to publish news about job openings that might interest our members as well plans for conferences and calls for papers.

Graduate Student News
The AMEWSGrad Review’s first edition will be published this fall. The editors are seeking submissions on the topic of “Women and Orientalism.” Submissions may include short articles, short fiction, poems, book reviews, photography, art, op-eds and news. Also there will be space for calls-for-papers from related disciplines and “Help” ads for books, research queries, etc. The deadline for submissions is August 31.
